Welcome To The Den,

you’re a part of the pack.

The Den Wellness Collective is on a mission to redefine healthcare practices, transcending traditional boundaries to create a holistic and inclusive approach to well-being. Our vision is rooted in empowering individuals to reclaim control over their health journey, embracing a comprehensive understanding of wellness that encompasses the body, mind, and spirit.

As the founders are proud members of the LGBTQIAS2+ community, we deeply resonate with the need for spaces that prioritize inclusivity, acceptance, and safety. We recognize the challenges faced by minority groups in finding spaces where they can truly feel seen, heard, and valued. That’s why at The Den, we’re committed to dismantling barriers and creating an environment where everyone, regardless of identity or background, feels welcome and respected.

Our methodology is grounded in the belief that wellness is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Just as the ebbs and flows of waves shape the ocean, the human body is in a constant state of flux, with its own unique rhythms and needs. We honor this diversity by approaching each treatment with fresh eyes, tailoring our care to meet the individual needs of our clients.

Central to our ethos is the creation of a supportive community where patients and practitioners alike can thrive. We envision The Den as more than just a healthcare facility—it’s a sanctuary where individuals can come to decompress, connect, and nurture their well-being. From cozy relaxation areas equipped with blankets and refreshments to fostering open communication and growth opportunities for our community, every aspect of The Den is designed for healing and connection.

Through our dedication to excellence, compassion, and innovation, we’re not just revolutionizing healthcare—we’re rewriting the narrative. Together, we’re building a future where wellness is not a destination, but a journey—one that embraces diversity, empowers individuals, and celebrates interconnectedness.

Our Team

Genieve Morison
Founder, Registered Therapeutic Counsellor

Genieve Morison

She/They

Genieve Morison is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor with ACCT (#3001), owner of Empowered Living Holistic Counselling and co-founder of The Den Wellness Collective.

Genieve has always had an innate curiosity about this life experience and loves diving deep in conversations and connecting with humans in meaningful ways. These qualities have great impact on the space she holds and the work she does.

She was first launched into her career when she suffered a series of concussions, throwing her into an identity crisis and a variety of physical, mental and emotional challenges. As she navigated the healing process she began to see missing pieces within the journey that were integral to the healing. The lack of support and guidance in the experience influenced Genieve’s decision to go back to school when she was well enough. Her goal was to gain the education and understanding of how to help others who were in this same position. Genieve could see the first hand value and impact the inner-self-work and journey was having in her own life and knew there were many others that would benefit. As she walked the concussion healing journey she began to see where she was missing life-skills and deep understanding of her personal human processes – directly impacting her healing and also every area of her life.

Genieve graduated with her holistic life coaching certificate and professional counselling diploma and has devoted many hours to understanding what it takes to achieve healing and change in this life. She works to help others gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their human processes (utilizing a foundation in CBT), so they’re able to gain awareness in real time and have the space and opportunity to make alternative decisions. At the same time working with clients to strengthen their life-skills and transfer their new understanding to daily life. With her unique background in creative arts, movement and dance, Genieve is able to offer a specialized approach to help heal emotional and mental challenges with body movement and expressive arts (no client artistic or dance background necessary). Additionally with her healing journey she provides support and guidance for those who are healing from concussions.

Genieve is trained in CBT, DBT, somatic therapy, narrative therapy, wellness counselling and eco therapy. Genieve is trauma and addictions informed, crisis intervention and non-violent communication informed. She is certified in life and wellness coaching, trained in goal setting, leadership and communication, giving her the capability to help others heal and grow – working in the past, present and future using the biopsychosocial model.

Devon Stedman
Osteopathic Practitioner, M.OMSc.

Devon Stedman

He/Him

Devon Stedman is a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy where he received a Masters in Osteopathic Manual Sciences (M.OMSc). He is also a member of the professional association Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN).

Devon grew up in Ottawa, Ontario and was actively involved in playing high-level basketball throughout high school and university. From an early age, he gained an interest in athletics and the movement of the human body through the training and conditioning required for competitive sport as well as the result of multiple injuries and lengthy rehabilitation periods over the years. At the height of his basketball career while at Dalhousie University, he sustained a devastating knee injury that put an end to his career and competitive sports.

After multiple surgeries and trying different modalities for healing his leg, Devon was frustrated by the lack of results he was experiencing. None of the modalities were providing meaningful results. After four years of rehabilitation, he turned to Osteopathy based on the recommendation of a friend. The impact that Osteopathic treatment had on him was life changing. Devon experienced an incredible recovery and in turn a strong desire to learn this healing art and help others. Devon chose to leave a career in Business and Accounting, and enrolled at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton. Upon completing the program, he moved to Vancouver to begin his professional practice.

In Devon’s practice, his goal is to find the root cause of whatever is standing in the way of your overall health. Through gentle, calming treatments he will work to restore the structural integrity of the body, improving motion and freeing the neurovascular structures that allow for the body to heal itself. Devon’s hope is to be able to help others on their journey back to a healthy, pain free life.

Greg Stillman - Osteopathic Practitioner
Kinesiologist, Osteopathic Student

Greg Willett

He/Him

Greg Willett graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology (B.Kin) and is currently a fourth-year student at the Canadian School of Osteopathy in Vancouver. He provides kinesiology manual therapy treatments with an osteopathic approach, integrating modalities from both disciplines to assess movement patterns as well as anatomical, physiological, and emotional relations to find the root cause of his patients’ symptoms.

His interest in human anatomy began from an early age engaging in various sports with a particular focus on competitive hockey. Greg’s journey through sports has been both exhilarating and challenging, marked by two debilitating back injuries that significantly impacted his life. These experiences, however, became the catalyst for his passion for osteopathy. The holistic approach of osteopathy, viewing the body not as a collection of parts but as a harmonious functional unit, resonated deeply with him and guided him towards this fulfilling path to help others achieve a higher quality of life.

Greg’s personal encounters with severe injuries have given him a unique perspective on the struggles faced by his patients. He understands the physical pain, the psychosocial and emotional factors, and the feelings of isolation and mental strain that accompany injuries and ailments. This understanding fuels his mission to continually learn and master the art of osteopathy, striving to help others achieve the highest possible quality of life and not let their pain or ailments define them or their lived experiences.

If you are looking for a kinesiologist and aspiring osteopath who understands the intricacies of injury and rehabilitation from both a personal and professional perspective, Greg is here to support you on your journey to recovery and well-being.
