How do I choose the right practitioner for me?

At The Den Wellness Collective we understand that finding the right fit can be a trial and error process. We encourage everyone to read each practitioner’s bio to determine if their education and personality resonates.

In the event you are still unsure please email us and we will ask questions to best match you!

Can I use my healthcare benefits?

Yes, nearly all extended health care packages cover all or a portion of each session with all of our practitioners.

What should I wear?

We encourage you to come as you are. For comfort purposes you may want to wear loose or athletic clothing for osteopathy, acupuncture, private counselling and group counselling sessions.

Do you do direct billing?

No. We issue a receipt for your session directly to you through email. These receipts can be submitted to your extended benefits provider for reimbursement.

How does osteopathy and acupuncture differ from physiotherapy and chiropractic?

Osteopathy, acupuncture, physiotherapy, and chiropractic are distinct healthcare approaches, each with its own philosophy and methods. Osteopathy emphasizes manual techniques to manipulate the body’s structures, focusing on self-healing and interconnectedness within the body. Acupuncture, rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, involves the insertion of needles into specific points to stimulate energy flow and promote healing by balancing the body’s energy. Physiotherapy aims to restore movement and function through exercises, manual therapy, and various modalities, aiming to improve physical health and well-being. Chiropractic care focuses on spinal manipulation to correct misalignments believed to affect nerve function and overall health. While they share the goal of improving health, these approaches offer unique methods tailored to individual needs, making consulting with a healthcare professional essential for determining the most appropriate treatment.

We encourage every person to determine which of these and what frequency of treatment works best for them. Our practitioners are more than happy to discuss this topic from their perspective and knowledge.

Communication with your practitioner is key to adjusting the treatment frequency based on your progress and needs.
