Leigha Calladine.
She/They
R.Ac., Registered Acupuncturist
Leigha understands that healing is a personal, vulnerable experience and that trusting and feeling seen by your practitioner is the first step. As a queer, neurodivergent person she is dedicated to creating an inclusive, trauma informed, safe space to help support her patients on their own healing journey.
Leigha graduated in 2019 from the Registered Acupuncturist program at Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences (KCCIHS) in Nelson BC after completing over 2000 hours of academic studies and 500 clinical hours. For their final project they develop a research paper on “The Advantages of Incorporating Traditional Chinese Medicine into Modern Day Treatment of Patients Who Have Experienced Childhood Trauma”.
Her areas of special interest include overall nervous system regulation, mental health, chronic pain and illness, digestive health, and reproductive health disorders that affect people with uteruses. One of her favourite things about the philosophies of Acupuncture/Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the holistic approach it uses to understand and treat everyone as an individual.
She offer's modalities such as Acupuncture, Cupping, Electroacupuncture (the application of electrical stimulation to acupuncture needles), Gua Sha, Moxibustion, as well as TCM dietary and lifestyle recommendations.
In her free time they enjoy singing, live music and shows, thrifting, connecting with nature, spending quality time with her cat Phoebe and loved ones.
She would like to acknowledge that she is practicing on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

I love to sing. I’m apart of a Queer choir here in Vancouver. Not only is is an excellent artistic outlet for myself but also humming and singing but its a way I help regulate my nervous system.

I play D&D (dungeons and dragons) with a lovely group of people. It’s full of rich story telling, in depth world creation/exploration and a beautiful way to engage in different sides to yourself and others.
