Yoga and

Meditation.

At The Den Wellness Collective, we use yoga as a powerful healing modality to support nervous system regulation. Our classes are thoughtfully designed to create space within the body, allowing for deep relaxation and promoting restful states. By focusing on mindful movement, breathwork, and gentle poses, we help soothe the nervous system, reduce stress, and encourage balance. Whether you're new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, our sessions offer a safe environment for you to reconnect, release tension, and cultivate a sense of calm and restoration.

What Can I Expect?

  1. Arrival & Grounding:
As you arrive, you’ll be invited to settle in and find a comfortable space. The instructor may guide you through a few minutes of grounding, helping you transition from your busy day to a calmer, more present state. The atmosphere will likely be soothing, with dim lighting or soft music to support relaxation.

  2. Introduction & Gentle Movement:
The instructor will briefly explain the focus of the class—nervous system regulation—and invite you to begin with gentle, mindful movements. The class will be slow-paced, with an emphasis on breath awareness and tuning into how your body feels in each moment. You might start with some gentle stretches or simple poses to help release any initial tension.

  3. Focused Breathwork & Restorative Poses:
Throughout the class, you’ll be guided through various breathing techniques (like deep belly breathing or extended exhales) to help activate the parasympathetic nervous system. Poses will be restorative and supportive, such as seated stretches, gentle backbends, or child’s pose, all designed to calm the body and mind, allowing space for deep relaxation.

  4. Closing & Integration:
Toward the end of the class, the instructor will guide you into a final relaxation, often in a restful position like Savasana or a seated meditation. You’ll be encouraged to focus on your breath and let go of any remaining tension. As the class closes, you may feel a profound sense of calm and balance, with the nervous system more regulated and the body feeling restored.

This type of yoga class offers a soothing, grounding experience to help you relax deeply, release stress, and reconnect with a sense of inner peace.

What Do I Wear?

For theses classes you’ll want to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement and deep breathing. Here’s what to consider:

  • Comfortable, Breathable Clothing: Opt for soft, stretchy clothes like leggings, yoga pants, or loose-fitting tops. This will help you move freely and feel at ease during the practice.

  • Layers: Since the class may involve periods of rest and relaxation, bringing a light sweater or blanket can help you stay cozy, especially during longer restorative poses or the final relaxation.

  • Socks: You may want to wear socks for warmth and comfort, as these classes often include slower movements, and being barefoot is optional.

  • Minimal Accessories: Keep jewelry and accessories to a minimum to stay comfortable and distraction-free.

Ultimately, wear what feels best for your body and what will help you relax fully into the class!

The gentle movements, breathing techniques, and restorative poses are suitable for anyone looking to reduce stress, regulate their nervous system, and improve overall well-being.
